Tested Clean for Ochratoxin A
At Pure Kombucha, we believe in being upfront about what goes into (and what stays out of) our drinks. That’s why we regularly send our batches for independent laboratory testing by SGS Lab— one of the world’s most respected testing companies.
We tested our herb-based kombucha for Ochratoxin A (a naturally occurring mycotoxin sometimes found in ingredients like grains, dried fruits, or tea).
Result: Not Detected (N.D.)
Limit of Quantification: 0.3 µg/kg
This means no Ochratoxin A was found above the sensitive detection threshold of the lab method.
In plain English: our kombucha tested clean/ safe. You can view the full SGS Test Report here.

Why Does This Matter?
Ochratoxin A is a contaminant that can appear in various foods and beverages due to mold growth during farming or storage. While many kombuchas use ingredients that could potentially carry trace levels, we’re proud that our production process and quality controls keep it undetectable in our final product. This result adds to our commitment to clean, safe, high-quality fermentation, using premium ingredients and strict hygiene standards.
Our Approach to Safety & Transparency
We test for key contaminants that matter in fermented drinks. We work with accredited labs like SGS for independent verification. We believe customers deserve to know what’s “not” in their glass — not just what’s in. Whether you drink kombucha for the probiotics, the refreshing taste, or simply as a healthier alternative to sugary sodas, peace of mind about purity is part of the experience.
